Hall County Animal Control has confirmed its 20th case of rabies this year.  The latest—a raccoon discovered Tuesday in Gainesville.

Health officials urge the public to make sure their pets are vaccinated and under close supervision.  They say there is literature available at the animal control office to reduce risk of exposure.

The “Hall County Humane Society” will host a rabies clinic Saturday morning from 8:30 to noon at the Wal-Mart store on Shallowford Road in Gainesville.
